To get the most out of the site Students need their own personal ID. This will then allow access to the assessment system, forum and conferencing.

This personal account does need to be verified by the teacher before it can become active. Do this by clicking on your user name and then on Manage Students Accounts

How do I manage my multi-user account?

  • To manage your account, click on your username towards the top right of the screen.
  • The intended use of a multi-user account is by a teacher (or teachers) and their students. The teacher has a separate log-on password and by using it can control the students' password and other management functions. Students in a multi-user account cannot change this password.
  • Both teachers and students can create their own individual user names and passwords. This is essential for using the forum and the conferencing facilities.
  • The teacher in a multi-user account can create exam papers using the PRINT EXAM PAPER option in each module and save them. These files are then available to all the students on that account to access. To access these files the students click on their user name near the top of the screen. By this method, the teacher can set up homework tasks. Once a student has set up their own personal account then they too can save exam papers for their own use.
  • The teacher in a multi-user account can monitor the use of the site by the students at their school or college. For this to work the students must set up their own personal accounts which the teacher verifies. See Personal accounts.
  • The teacher in a multi-user account can also monitor the on-line assessment progress of their students. Once again, for this to work the students must set up their own personal accounts which the teacher verifies. See Help on assessment.
